SD-XL-SH2 – 1/16″ XL Rubber Shims

Description

SkyJack 1/16″ Shims are used to ensure perfectly level and flush pavers as well as to dampen the sound of footsteps on the patio.

Features:

The pie shaped corners of the shim are easily pulled apart so they can be applied and number of corners of the pedestal.  They can also be stacked if more than 1/16″ of spacing is required.

Recommendations:

When using Ipe pavers, porcelain pavers or grates on top of the pedestals, we suggest putting a full shim on top of the pedestal for sound dampening and then using additional shims for leveling.  This would equate to purchase 1.5 shims for every pedestal that you need.

Concrete pavers don’t cause as much footstep noise so sound dampening isn’t required.  So, we recommend using shims only for leveling which equates to about 1 shim for every 2 pedestals.

Compatibility:

XL Shims are compatible with all of our adjustable pedestals (SD-XXS through SD-XL) but not our SD-00 stackable rubber pedestals.  If you are using SD-00 rubber stackable pedestals, use our smaller shims (SD-SH2)
